Day 01: Lucerne

• Arrival in Lucerne Arrival in Lucerne by train 2nd class from the Swiss border or airport. If time permits, then you can visit Mt. Rigi, the Queen of Mountains, excites her visitors with wonderful views of the lakes and mountains. Rigi is famous for its golden round trip from Arth Goldau to Rigi Kulm to Vitznau to Lucerne. It covers Cogwheel train and boat journeys. Overnight in Lucerne.

Day 02: Lucerne - Mt. Pilatus

• After a romantic boat trip on Lake Lucerne, follow the spectacular ride with the world‘s steepest cogwheel railway to Pilatus Kulm 2132 m / 7000 ft. Riding down with the aerial cableway ‘Dragon Ride’ and the panorama gondolas to Kriens, where you take bus Nr 1 back to Lucerne. The Golden Round Trip can also be done the other way around. Overnight in Lucerne.

Day 03: Lucerne to Lugano - Swissminiatur Park

• Train journey from Lucerne to Lugano. Visit Swissminiatur, located in Melide, a 7 minute train ride from Lugano, in the Italian speaking part of Switzerland. Spanning an area of 14,000 sqm the park boasts of more than 120 miniature models of all the Swiss attractions like the Matterhorn, Jungfrau, the Chapel Bridge, Chillon Castle, cathedrals and other buildings of Switzerland. Day 04: Lugano - Bernina Express - St. Moritz

• Today you travel with the Bernina Express of the Rhaetian Railway along the UNESCO World Heritage route. Enjoy an Alpine switchback ride, taking you from the high, towering glaciers of the mountains down to the swaying palms of Italy. The Bernina Express is the highest railway line across the Alps, linking Northern and Southern Europe in the most spectacular way! First the Bernina Express coach takes you to Tirano where you will have time for an optional lunch break. Then board the Bernina Express train to St. Moritz. Overnight in St. Moritz.

Day 05: St. Moritz - Glacier Express - Zermatt (8h)

• Today you board the Glacier Express for one of the greatest train journeys in the world. On an 8 hour rail journey the world’s slowest express train takes you across 291 bridges, through 91 tunnels and across the Oberalp Pass at 2’033 m. Travel in comfort through the unspoilt natural beauty of a landscape rich in ancient times, fragrant mountain forests, peaceful Alpine meadows, rushing mountain streams and mountain valleys, soaked in tradition and centuries-old culture. Overnight in Zermatt.

Day 06: Zermatt - Gornergrat

• At an altitude of 3,089m, visit Gornergrat, Switzerland's top excursion destinations since 1898. Board the cogwheel railway up to the Gornergrat, with views of the majestic Matterhorn, Monte Rosa and other spectacular summits. Rest of day at your leisure. Overnight in Zermatt.

Day 07: Zermatt to Montreux

• Today you take a regional train through the Valais, which is well known for its excellent wines, to Montreux. We recommend a visit to Chillon Castle, a moated castle on the shores of Lake Geneva. Overnight in Montreux.

Day 08: Montreux - GoldenPass Line - Gstaad - Glacier 3000

• Experience the Golden Pass Line from Montreux to Gstaad and take the bus to reach the Glacier 3000. Take the cable car to reach the top. There you can enjoy the Peak Walk by Tissot, only suspended bridge connecting two peaks, the Ice Express, the Glacier Walk as well as many other activities. Return back and overnight in Montreux.

Day 09: Montreux to Interlaken

• Train journey with the GoldenPass Panoramic train to Interlaken. You find yourself among alpine forests, bubbling mountain springs and picturesque mountain villages. Overnight in Interlaken.

Day 10: Interlaken - Schilthorn

• After a short trip from Stechelberg of just 32 minutes by aerial cableway you reach the summit of the Schilthorn at 2970 metres above sea level. Marvel at the most spectacular panorama in the Alps: Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau – this is the Swiss Skyline. Enjoy the spectacular view from a big terrace of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau (UNESCO World Heritage). Perfect before and after your mountain experience. Piz Gloria restaurant with table service rotates around its own axis in 45 minutes, gliding past more than 200 mountain peaks. Overnight in Interlaken.

Day 11: Interlaken to Zürich - Lindt - Home of Chocolate.

• Train journey along the lake of Thun to Bern and possibility for a stopover to discover Switzerland’s beautiful capital. Continue to Zurich and visit Lindt - Home of Chocolate. The modern, light-flooded museum building offers 20000m2 of chocolate fascination with a chocolate fountain, multimedia exhibition, café, workshops and the largest Lindt Chocolate Shop. Day 12: Departure from Zurich

• Time at leisure in Zurich. Return to the Swiss border or airport or individual onward journey. This tour can also be booked in the opposite direction.
