A fabulous day offering a chance to explore the stunning city of Verona and enjoy unrivalled panoramas around Italy's largest lake. Departing Milan head east through Lombardy and enter the Veneto region. Our first stop is at the romantic city of Verona, home to Romeo and Juliet. Here, a local guide will bring to life the many treasures that the city has to offer such as the world-famous Roman arena and the beautiful Piazza delle Erbe. Heading north from Verona come to Lake Garda, the largest of the Italian lakes in a glorious position surrounded by mountains. The countryside surrounding Garda has been brought to life over the centuries by poets and writers including Catullus, Joyce and Goethe. A chance to explore this enchanting town before returning to Milan.
