A picturesque tour of the Luberon area and its lavender fields. Discover a new open-air market each day in a different village : in Roussillon on Thursday and in L'Isle sur la Sorgue on Sunday. As the markets take place in the morning only, the order of the visited sites will change accordingly. Along countryside roads at the foot of Luberon, arrival in Isle-sur-Sorgue. Free time to discover the antiques shops along the canals of the " Venice of Comtat Venaissin ". Wander in the exceptional hill top village of Gordes which ranks among the most beautiful villages in France. A photo stop at Senanque abbey will be included between mid-June and mid-July only, during the lavender blooming season, to take pictures of the lavender field. Stop at the "boutique" of the Lavender Museum (closed in January) where you will have the possibility to try out an exclusive line of natural cosmetics made of locally produced AOC fine lavender essential oil. Continuation toward to the colourful village of Roussillon and its ochre cliffs. On the way to Bonnieux, you will admire the Pont Julien, roman bridge. Discover Bonnieux, a picture perfect Provencal village, on top of which stands a 12th century church surrounded by century-old cedars. Way back through the picturesque and winding Combe of Lourmarin. Photo stop in Lourmarin, famous for its Renaissance castle. Free time for lunch on your own during the tour.
