Karlstejn was founded by Charles IV in the 14th century and served as a place for safekeeping the Empire coronation jewels, holy relics and other royal treasures. Nowadays is one of the most visited castles in the world. We promise that after climbing the hill on which it stands, this Gothic gem will impress you with its monumental architecture. Pick up time will be around 20-30 mins before the start of the tour. Wear comfortable walking shoes. There are some steps and slopes in the castle complex. The tour may be guided in one or two languages.
