Lisbon City Break

Arrive at Lisbon Airport and transfer to your hotel, Check – in to your hotel. Rest of the
day free to explore the city. Overnight in Lisbon.

In the morning discover the magnificent city of Lisbon, beginning with a visit to the historic district of Belem, where the stunning Jeronimos Monastery is located. Then head to the Baixa, the city’s downtown, such as Avenida da Liberdade, Marques de Pombal Square and Alfama, the city’s oldest quarter. Later head to Sintra, a Unesco World Heritage Site and visit the National Palace- with the admission included in the tour. Then continue along the coast and drive by Cabo da Roca: the most westerly point of continental Europe, then on to Guincho, Cascais: a beautiful seaside resort and Estoril before returning to Lisbon. Overnight in Lisbon.

You'll be picked up from the hotel and head to Fátima. Visit the Basilica, the Church of the Holy Trinity, the Chapel of Apparitions and the sanctuary of Our Lady Fátima. After Fátima, head to rural Batalha to visit the monastery which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and considered the best example of Gothic architecture in Portugal. Next experience the hospitality of Alcobaça. Visit the tombs of the Alcobaça Monastery, one of the most visited and best-preserved monuments in the country. After lunch (included only if option is chosen; if not, you will enjoy free time on your own. Supplement for lunch is EUR 42 pp), go to the romantic and picturesque town of Óbidos before ending the tour at sunset and heading back to your hotel in Lisbon. Overnight in Lisbon.
